My name is Ayhan. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Gubkin University in Moscow and am now pursuing a Master’s in Applied Economics at Wenzhou University in China. The programme is taught in English, and I was awarded a university scholarship that fully covers my tuition and accommodation. Wenzhou has impressed me with its stunning natural scenery, distinctive architecture and rich Chinese culture. The local cuisine deserves a special mention: the variety is enormous, everything is delicious, and it is remarkably affordable. My name is Hajy, and I’m from Turkmenistan. I’m currently on the Foundation Programme at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an. Classes are taught in Chinese, and every day I notice the language becoming clearer. Xi’an is a remarkable city: the ancient capital of China, where historic pagodas and the city wall stand alongside modern districts. It is especially beautiful in the evening, when everything lights up with glowing lanterns.
